Man Utd squad for Everton fixture as pressure mounts on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Alex Telles has returned to the Manchester United squad to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a timely boost.

The full-back has only featured once for the club since signing on transfer deadline day after testing positive for Covid-19.

The Brazilian's sole appearance came against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, in which he impressed with his range of passing and crossing.

His availability gives Solskjaer the options to either rest Luke Shaw or play the English defender as a centre-half in a back three.

Against a free-scoring Everton side, Solskjaer may opt for the defensive option.

Anthony Martial returns to play in the Premier League having been suspended for the past three matches. The Frenchman was given a straight red for elbowing Erik Lamela in the damning 6-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Mason Greenwood is not at the hotel but he may link up with the squad at a later point.

With defeats to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir in the past week the pressure is firmly on Solskjaer.

Mauricio Pochettino's appearance on Monday Night Football also reminded everyone that he's still available.

Solskjaer, though, remains non-moved by the speculation linking him with the sack.

"If I don't trust my beliefs and values, who else will?" he said.

"I don't look at one or two results and fall like a house of cards."

"There are demands on a Man United player, coach and manager," he added. "There is an expectation. We have to be tough mentally.

"We are the best and biggest club in the world. [After Wednesday] we didn't expect anything but criticism. It is how you deal with it.

"The boys are ready for a reaction. We are all hurt. It is never easy when you lose two games on the bounce but that is football."
