Man Utd sent new Eduardo Camavinga transfer message as Rennes make announcement

Rennes are open to selling Edouardo Camavinga this summer according to their president amid mounting interest from the likes of Manchester United.

Club chief Nicolas Holveck has seen the young midfielder rise through the ranks to become one of Europe's hottest properties.

United as well as Real Madrid and PSG have all been linked with the teenager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add a fresh face in midfield and Camavinga suits the profile of player he's looking to bring in.

Rennes have seen the likes of Edouard Mendy and Raphinha both head to the Premier League over the past 12 months.

Camavinga could now follow suit with the Rennes president admitting that they are considering all avenues.

Hovleck told RMC Sport : "Discussions are still ongoing, everything is open, either for a departure during this transfer window – if an offer satisfies everyone – or to extend [his contract]."

Camavinga only has a year left on his deal with the Ligue 1 club meaning they could be backed into a corner.

A price tag of around £43m has been touted as Rennes look to maximise their earnings.

The 18-year-old is represented by Jonathan Barnett, the same man who steers Gareth Bale's career.

He has said previously that offers have not been slow in coming but gave no indication as to where Camavinga would end up.

Barnett told SNTV : "Believe me we have a lot of offers for this year, a lot of offers, and good ones. I mean top, top clubs. We don’t want to rush. There is the right time to move on and playing games is the most important thing at his age.

"Playing in a good club is nice for him. It might be this year, or he wants to have another year. He has got to talk to his family, his father.

"We will all sit down and decide. We will talk to Rennes as well and decide. There is no rush for him.

"He’s probably the best young player in the world. He has just turned 18. He has already been a French international. He’s an unbelievable talent. He could play in any team in the world. He is still going to be a great talent at 19. It’s not that old you know, 19."

Elsewhere United are set to announce the signing of Jadon Sancho in the coming days with paperwork the only aspect still to be completed.

A deal for Raphael Varane is also edging closer.
