Manchester United have quickly turned their attention to Raphael Varane after completing a deal for Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils confirmed that arrival of Sancho on their club website this afternoon, following months of talks with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer.
Sancho is not expected to be United's only recruit this summer, however, and Solskjaer will continue to strengthen his group in the coming weeks.
With one transfer complete, United will now make their move to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
Like Sancho, Varane has been a long-term target for the Red Devils and is once again being considered by the club.

According to the Independent, United have held "extensive talks" with the France international over a move to Old Trafford and Varane's current desire is to secure a transfer to the Premier League side.
The report adds that sources close to United’s deal for Varane are cautiously optimistic because more progress has been made than expected.
Should Solskjaer's side strike a deal to sign the 28-year-old, it would mark another significant piece of transfer business.
A strong defensive option has long been required by the Red Devils, which Varane would certainly represent.
United completed an £80million deal for Harry Maguire two years ago but have lacked a strong partner for the England international.
Manchester City and Liverpool act as the overwhelming evidence as to the difference an effective central defender purchase can make, with both Virgil van Dijk and Ruben Dias making an instant impact at their respective clubs.
Would Varane make Man Utd title contenders? Comment below.

Varane, a four-time Champions League winner, would bring a wealth of experience to United's backline and would slot straight into defence alongside Maguire.
He was last quizzed on his future in May and told reporters:
"This is not the time to talk about my future, I am focused on the selection, on this Euro, it is normal and logical to ask the question and for my part it is normal and logical to focus on the upcoming deadlines.
“We are all human beings. We can think about it. As for my personal case, I am focused on the objectives that we have in the France team, it is not a subject that I will discuss every day in my room at Clairefontaine.
“I am focused on my goal, and now is not the time to discuss it. If I have to talk about it, it will be directly with the people concerned.”
