Man Utd's new 'priority' now £150m double striker swoop and Liverpool and Arsenal pursuing £60m 'absolute tank'

These are the latest transfer stories from the Premier League and around the globe on Wednesday, July 5.

Striker duo now United's priority

Manchester United's are now focusing on Rasmus Hojlund and Goncalo Ramos as their "priorities" up front.

That's according to CaughtOffside, who state United have been priced out of moves for Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

Both those strikers are seen as unrealistic options for Erik ten Hag and while they have admiration for them, Hojlund and Ramos have now been shifted to the front of the queue.

United reached out to Ramos back in May and they are now ready to rekindle interest in the Benfica man to restart negotiations.

He has a €120million (£102million) trigger in his release clause but United hope to be able to wriggle that fee down for the Portuguese international.

Hojlund is available for a far lower fee, with Atalanta said to holding out for £50million for the Denmark star. He is understood to have already indicated his desire to join the Old Trafford club.

Race for Lavia

Liverpool are reportedly reluctant to enter the race for Arsenal and Chelsea target Romeo Lavia.

The young Southampton midfielder is hot property this summer and is on a number of clubs' wanted lists. The fact his club have been relegated means he is almost certain to leave St Mary's, with Russell Martin now in charge on the south coast.

A £50million price tag has been slapped on the 19-year-old but The Athletic report the Reds aren't thinking of a move for the ex-Manchester City starlet at present.

The Gunners could yet up their interest in him once they get a £105million deal for Declan Rice over the line. Complicating matters is the fact City have a buyback clause in Lavia's contract.

Meanwhile, LIverpool and Arsenal are set to lock horns over another target - Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi.

The south Londoners want £60million for the centre-back, who is also admired by Newcastle United and Tottenham.

However, according to Football Insider, Jurgen Klopp is now "ready to do battle" for the 22-year-old defender who impressed while on loan at Swansea City from Chelsea.

Josef Bursik, a former England international team-mate at underage level, once labelled Guehi an "absolute tank" from their playing days together.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs track wonderkid

Israel teenaager Oscar Gloukh is attracting admiring glances from a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham, report The Guardian.

The 19-year-old currently plies his trade for RB Salzburg after sealing a €7million from Maccabi Tel Aviv in January.

The teenager will line up for his country against England in the semi-finals of European Under-21 Championships on Wednesday.

Barcelona - who wanted him before he left Tel Aviv - Villarreal, AC Milan and Monaco are also interested in him.

Gloukh has won six senior caps for Israel and signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Red Bull in the summer, with sister club RB Leipzig keen to bring him to the Bundesliga in the future.

“There has been so much interest in Oscar for the last few months but we will have to wait to discuss any offers with his club,” said Gloukh’s representative, Shahar Greenberg.

Magpies braced for interest

Newcastle United are bracing themselves for interest in attacker Allan Saint-Maximin this summer.

The Frenchman has been influential under Eddie Howe and enjoyed a successful season at St James' Park last term.

Two Premier League sides have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old, with Crystal Palace and Everton tracking him.

European heavyweights AC Milan and Marseille have also been keeping tabs, while clubs in Saudi Arabia are an option for him should he desire a move to the Middle East.

It was reported last month that he wanted to fight for his place in the north east. The Daily Mail stated the Magpies' Champions League campaign next season would be major carrot for Saint-Maximin, who hopes to achieve his dream of playing for France in the future.
