Man Utd's Daniel James transfer takes turn amid reports of £15m done deal claims

Swansea City star Daniel James HASN'T agreed terms with Manchester United - but their interest in the starlet has now been confirmed, WalesOnline has learned.

Sources close to the Welshman's camp have revealed that talk of a £15m deal to take the 21-year-old to Old Trafford are premature.

But United have now expressed interest in him, although there has yet to be an official bid from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Reports earlier on Tuesday suggested that a deal had been agreed for the winger, who has burst onto the scene in South Wales under the tutelage of Graham Potter.

The 44-year-old has since departed the Liberty Stadium for Brighton, with rumours circulating last week that he was keen to take James with him to the Amex Stadium.

But it is understood that the south coast were never in for him. Indeed, no other side are believed to be in the frame at present, despite a list of clubs linked with him over the past few weeks.

Liverpool, Man City, Leeds and Tottenham have been in the conversation previously, but it appears that United are now firmly in pole position.

Swansea confirmed to WalesOnline earlier on Tuesday that no official approach had been received for James, and that appears to still be the case.
