Harry Kane looks intent on a Tottenham exit this summer after failing to report to pre-season training after his summer break.
Kane was granted extended leave after his Euro 2020 exploits but was due back after a short holiday on Monday morning.
The England striker failed to report as planned as he aims to force a summer exit in order to fulfil his personal ambitions and win major trophies.
After opting to stay put last summer, Kane appears adamant the time has come for him to move on from the north London club.
Manchester City have been considered the leading contenders for his signature - but with that move already in jeopardy, Manchester United could have the perfect opportunity to pounce.

According to the Manchester Evening News, a move for Kane will not be financially viable for City if they complete a move for Jack Grealish - unless there are some major player sales.
Having tabled a £100million bid for Grealish last week, City are a step ahead in their pursuit of the Aston Villa star.
If that deal is done, then that could leave Kane in a tough spot and unable to follow his England team-mate to the Etihad.
With that deal in jeopardy, the door could be open for United, given Kane seems to have his heart firmly set on a move.
Could Man Utd land Harry Kane this summer? Comment below
With Paul Pogba linked with an exit, funds could become available for United to land their dream attacking target having already added Jadon Sancho and agreed a deal for Raphael Varane this transfer window.
United are believed to be putting plans in place to land a No.9 next summer with Kane and Erling Haaland top targets.
But given the huge interest in both players, they may be required to take their chance to act when it presents itself which looks to be the case with Kane as his Tottenham situation plays out.
