Man Utd Premier League squad confirmed with Anthony Martial included

Manchester United have confirmed their Premier League squad for the current season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes a title charge.

Summer signings Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho all feature.

The likes of Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard, who have all been heavily linked with moves away, are named in the squad.

United have begun the campaign with two wins and a draw, leaving them two points off the summit after three games.

Solskjaer is under pressure to deliver silverware this term having failed to do so during his tenure thus far.

An impressive transfer window has led to increased optimism with the Red Devils squad bursting with attacking talent.

Speaking ahead of United's first fixture against Newcastle, the first since Ronaldo returned to the club, Solskjaer said of his No.7: "He’s been good.

"Of course, we’ve followed his career from afar since he left here and everyone’s very happy to have him back. He can speak for himself, but it seems like he’s happy to be back as well. The mood has been very good, he’s worked well and we’re looking forward to Saturday of course.

"He’s been having a good pre-season with Juventus, he’s played for the national team, he’s had a good week with us here. He’ll definitely be on the pitch at some point, that’s for sure."
