Man Utd predicted XI vs Everton revealed with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to drop star

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to drop Ashley Young after his Barcelona nightmare.

Full back Young struggled in Manchester United's Champions League quarter-final exit as Lionel Messi ran riot at the Nou Camp.

And after his disappointing performance, Solskjaer is ready to take the England international out the limelight against Everton on Sunday.

Marcos Rojo is the most likely player to come into the side, with Luke Shaw still one game away from returning from his suspension - with Matteo Darmian another option.

Argentine Rojo made his first Premier League start since since December during the Red Devils 2-1 victory over West Ham last weekend.

Solskjaer could turn to Alexis Sanchez and Nemanja Matic after their respective injuries - with both starting on the bench against Barca.

But the Norwegian is likely to stick with Scott McTominay, Fred and Paul Pogba rather than Matic in midfield.

Likewise up front, Romelu Lukaku will be flanked by Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, with Sanchez primed to come off the bench.

"Nemanja and Alexis had a good session yesterday as well, so they will probably be involved," Solskjaer said in Friday's press conference.

"The squad is looking good and getting better and better, I have to say.

"Ander is back in training - he’s been working really hard. Eric will be back in training over the weekend, Antonio (Valencia) we’re not sure about yet."

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has sent out a warning to his under-performing players and revealed he has held talks with members of his squad.

“Most of them have really impressed in their attitude and some need to get a reality check of where they're at,” said Solskjaer.

“But most of these know they can improve if they keep working as they do.

“I've spoken to individuals and they know. Anthony is one I've spoken to, about what we expect from them."

Man Utd XI vs Everton:  De Gea; Dalot, Smalling, Lindelof, Rojo; McTominay, Fred, Pogba; Lukaku, Rashford, Martial.

Predicted Subs:  Romero, Jones, Young, Matic, Sanchez, Mata, Lingard.
