Man Utd predicted XI vs Chelsea as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sweats on fitness of star duo

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to field his strongest available team as Manchester United face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday evening.

With his side just one game away from a shot at major silverware, the Red Devils boss is sweating over the fitness of left-backs Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw.

Both stars picked up injuries in United's 2-2 draw with Southampton last Monday and Timothy Fosu-Mensah came into the side for the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace three days later.

"Luke has got a swollen ankle, I'll give him as much time as possible to recover, it was a twisted ankle," Solskjaer said after the draw at Old Trafford.

Of Williams, who received a nasty wound after a clash of heads, the Norwegian added: "Brandon cut up his eye, I don't really know, none of them trained yesterday. I'll give them as much time as possible to let the swelling go away."

Elsewhere, Solskjaer's only fitness concerns are long-term absentees Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones. Other usual first-choice options are expected to be fit for the match and here is how we expect United to lineup for the 6pm kick-off.

In goal, No1 shot-stopper David de Gea is aiming to register back-to-back clean sheets for the first time since football restarted last month.

In front of the Spaniard, the Red Devils are set to continue with the back four from the win at Selhurst Park. Centre-back pairing Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will be flanked by Fosu-Mensah and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In the centre of the park, Paul Pogba could partner a number of options but midfield enforcer Nemanja Matic could replace Scott McTominay in the double-pivot.

And Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes is set to continue in the No10 role as the creative force behind the fearsome attacking trio of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Man Utd predicted XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Fosu-Mensah; Matic, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
