Man Utd predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace with top-four race going to the wire

Manchester United visit Crystal Palace on Thursday night with their remaining three Premier League games have taken on even more significance.

With neighbours Manchester City having had their European ban lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Monday, fifth place will not be enough to qualify for next season's Champions League.

But that's where United are heading into Thursday's game at Selhurst Park - albeit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are level on points with fourth-placed Leicester, who host Sheffield United before the Red Devils' game kicks off.

With the Foxes having a goal difference just three better than that of the Old Trafford side, the race for the top four is going right to the wire.

A win for either Solskjaer's side or Leicester would also take them within a point of third-placed Chelsea after 36 games apiece.

The United boss has named an unchanged starting line-up for five successive Premier League matches, and said "there might be one or two fresh legs coming in" for Thursday's game.

Mason Greenwood, Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams all face a race to be fit after being injured during Monday's 2-2 draw with Southampton, which ended United's run of five straight wins in all competitions.

Forward Greenwood has a swollen ankle after a horror challenge from Oriol Romeu and could even be a doubt to face Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.

And Solskjaer could have a problem at left-back, as Shaw suffered a twisted an ankle against his former club, while his replacement Williams was forced off after a nasty clash of heads with Kyle Walker-Peters.

United's hectic schedule could mean a run-out for Scott McTominay if Solskjaer chooses to rotate his midfield options. Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones remain out with injuries.

Palace striker Christian Benteke will miss Thursday's clash after his dismissal at Aston Villa.

The Belgian received a red card after his side's 2-0 defeat on Sunday for an off-the-ball incident with Ezri Konsa, and will start his three-match suspension.

Eagles boss Roy Hodgson will also be without centre-backs Gary Cahill (hamstring) and James Tomkins (thigh), but Jeffrey Schlupp has returned to training after a hip injury and will be on the bench for the Red Devils visit.

Man Utd predicted XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; McTominay, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
