Pogba returned for Wednesday’s EFL Cup win against Rochdale following an ankle injury, but suffered another setback and currently has a swollen ankle.
Martial is also a doubt due to the thigh injury which has kept him out since the home defeat to Crystal Palace, while Marcus Rashford could be out for two weeks after suffering a groin strain in last week’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham.
That could mean Mason Greenwood earning his first Premier League start of the season.
The 17-year-old has scored in successive games against Astana and Rochdale and is now pressing to be included against Arsenal.
