Man Utd player ratings from Europa League win over Partizan Belgrade

Manchester United ended their 11-match winless run on the road as Anthony Martial scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Partizan Belgrade.

The Frenchman scored a first-half penalty to take United to seven points from three games in their Europa League group - in which they are yet to concede.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kicked off his reign with a club record nine successive away wins, only to endure a remarkable 33-week wait stretching back to March's jaw-dropping Champions League triumph at Paris St Germain.

But they did the job in Serbia, with Martial scoring after Brandon Williams had been upended in the penalty area.

But who impressed for the Red Devils, in a much-changed side? Here are the player ratings...

Sergio Romero 7

Made a good save late on as United held out for victory

Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6

Solid defensively but failed to make much impact going forward. Subbed.

Phil Jones 6

But clumsy at times and picked up a booking, but helped keep a clean sheet.

Harry Maguire 7

Left on his backside once in the first half, but United’s captain for the night was otherwise solid at the heart of defence.

Marcos Rojo 6

Pretty solid, unspectacular performance from the Argentine who looks more at home playing as one of three centre-halves than in a back four.

Brandon Williams 7

Made a few good bursts forward in an energetic display and won the crucial penalty. Defensively sound too.

James Garner 6

Decent display before being subbed with eight minutes remaining.

Scott McTominay 6

Usual workmanlike self but lacked quality in the final third. Missed a great early chance.

Juan Mata 6

Spaniard drifted in and out of the game end played a couple of nice passes.

Jesse Lingard 5

Hit the post but apart from that did little.

Anthony Martial 6

Rusty on return but notched the winner with a typically cool penalty.

Subs: James (Wan-Bissaka 60’) 6, Rashford (Martial 60’) 6, Pereira (Garner 82’)
