Man Utd player ratings: Bruno Fernandes class and Scott McTominay great vs Club Brugge

Manchester United booked their place in the Europa League last-16 with an emphatic display against Club Brugge on Thursday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side impressed at Old Trafford, winning 3-0 with goals from Bruno Fernandes, Odion Ighalo and Scott McTominay.

United's January signing opened the scoring from the spot after Simon Deli's spectacular handball. The Brugges defender dived to block Daniel James' shot in the box and was subsequently given his marching orders.

Odion Ighalo then doubled United's lead with his first goal for the club. A well worked move involving Fernandes and Mata resulted in the Nigerian tapping home.

Scott McTominay then piled on more misery for the visitors by making it three before half-time.

United eased off in the second half but secured the win nonetheless.

One dribbled was halted just outside the Bruges box and he was a handful.

Pipe and slippers night for him on only his second appearance of the season.

Great finish for United’s third on his first start back since Boxing Day.

Impressed in midfield and teed up McTominay for his strike.

Should have scored from a great chance and was subbed at half-time.

Pure class and had a hand in all three United goals, scoring his second for the club.

Was denied by Mignolet and served up Ighalo’s goal for him on a plate.
