Man Utd player ratings as attackers struggle in win over West Brom

Manchester United put in an underwhelming display to earn their first home win of the season as Bruno Fernandes' penalty saw off lowly West Brom.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was yet to see his side win at Old Trafford in the Premier League this term.

And that wait looked as if it was going to continue at the interval as the hosts offered little.

West Brom were, perhaps slightly harshly, denied a penalty when a VAR review saw the original decision overturned.

And shortly after United were awarded a spot kick for handball.

Fernandes stepped up and saw his effort saved by Sam Johnstone, only to get a second chance when the Baggies goalkeeper came off his line too early.

He stuck away his second attempt to seal the three points but issues remain for Solskjaer's side.
