Man Utd player Marcus Rashford gives verdict on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's performance vs Bayern Munich legends

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was full of praise for his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Norwegian scored the opening goal of the Treble Reunion match.

United legends took on Bayern Munich in a re-run of the 1999 Champions League final at Old Trafford in aid of the Manchester United Foundation - and ran out 5-0 winners.

Solskjaer got Sir Alex Ferguson's side off to the best possible start with a tap in and Rashford was impressed by his goal.

Speaking to BT Sport after the match, Rashford, who was on punditry duty along with Jesse Lingard, said: "That's him in a nutshell. His positioning is great. He's always in the right place at the right time.

"It ends up a simple goal but during the build-up on the right side he is just waiting and being patient. He's in the six-yard box and the ball comes to him."

After the game, Sir Alex also spoke to BT Sport and he thanked the players for taking part in the charity game.

He said: “Well I think the most impressive thing for me is that they all turned up.

“I had 27 years here, so I can’t forget that. It was great to see the lads, how they have progressed in life. They are are all good, great professionals.”
