Man Utd 'open talks' over transfer for PSG youngster Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe

Manchester United have reportedly entered discussions with PSG over the potential transfer of youngster Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe.

The 19-year-old midfielder is currently out on loan at French Ligue 2 side Le Havre, who are pushing for promotion to the top tier.

Should they succeed, Ebimbe's loan would be extended for another season, but that has not deterred United, who are continuing to look to build for the future.

PSG are open to the idea of allowing the player leave the club, if he has a desire to move elsewhere.

RMC report United have already started negotiations with the French champions in a bid to sign the youth star at the end of this season.

Ebimbe has made 18 appearances for Le Havre so far this season, scoring twice and providing one assist for his team.

He is a naturally right-sided midfielder, but can play centrally, or on the opposite flank.

After rising through the PSG academy, he featured heavily for the club's 'B' team, but is yet to make his first-team debut, appearing just once in the matchday squad.

He has also been capped twice by the France under-20 squad, for whom he has scored an impressive four goals.

United signed youngster Hannibal Mejbri, 17, from Monaco in the summer, as well as former Ajax starlet Dillon Hoogewerf, 16.

More pressing concerns for United's recruitment team is filling the void left by the injury to Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils are seeking short-term options with just a week remaining of the January transfer window.

According to The Mail, United's desperation could see them make a move for Leicester flop Islam Slimani.

The Algerian is on loan at Monaco, but United are interested in signing him until the end of the season, with Leicester reportedly set to demand a £4million fee.
