Man Utd open Paulo Dybala talks with Juventus over possible Romelu Lukaku swap deal

Manchester United have opened discussions with Juventus over a move for their forward Paulo Dybala.

Dybala's agent is understood to have flown to the UK for talks with United aimed at securing a transfer for his client before the August 8 deadline.

The Argentina forward could be used as part of a swap deal involving United forward Romelu Lukaku going the other way.

United have grown frustrated with Inter Milan's failure to meet their £75million valuation of Lukaku, with the Serie A side having made an opening offer of £54m for the Belgian.

That has led United to open talks with Juventus over a deal for Dybala, 25, who scored the winner in a 1-0 Champions League win for Juventus at Old Trafford last season.

Dybala, who has fallen out of favour at Juventus, is valued at £75m by the Italian club, a figure which could see a straight swap between him and Lukaku.

United sources have indicated any deal is a long way from being concluded, but it is understood there is a willingness on both sides to get a deal over the line.

Lukaku wants out of United after being told by Solskjaer he is not part of his future plans, while Dybala is also looking for a fresh start after falling down the pecking order at Juventus.
