Man Utd on red alert as Ajax wonderkid 'makes transfer admission'

Manchester United are on red alert amid claims Ajax wonderkid Hossein Zamani is in search of a new challenge.

The 16-year-old forward, who is viewed as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe, is reportedly open to leaving Ajax this month.

But the Red Devils will face competition for Zamani's signature should they attempt to sign him.

Bitter rivals Manchester City as well as Italian giants AC Milan have also registered an interest in bringing in the teenage sensation.

The Red Devils have already landed a wonderkid from Ajax this summer after Dillon Hoogewerf turned down the chance to sign professional terms with the Dutch giants and instead put pen to paper on a contract with United.

Hoogewerf will represent Manchester United's academy for the time being, which is where Zamani will initially end up should he also join the Red Devils.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been busy in this summer's transfer window, having landed two players for the first team already.

Daniel James was the first new United recruit, joining the Red Devils from Swansea City in a deal worth £18million.

United then signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £50million, but Solskjaer's business isn't going to conclude here.

The Red Devils made a £70million bid for Harry Maguire on Tuesday, which is set to be rejected by Leicester City.

They have also reportedly agreed terms with Bruno Fernandes over a potential £35million switch.
