Manchester United have lost 2-0 at home to PSG in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 match.
Against a PSG side missing Neymar and Edinson Cavani, Solskjaer lost two of his own dynamic front three before the start of the second half as Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were injured.
Solskjaer was then forced to watch as strikes from Fresnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe earned PSG a 2-0 win and left United needing another memorable European comeback - and they will have to do it without Paul Pogba, who was sent off in the second half.
The last time United trailed 2-0 was against Burnley last month, when they struck twice late on to record a 2-2 draw.
There was to be no memorable comeback this time, though, with PSG comfortably holding on and handing Solskjaer his first defeat at the helm of United.
