Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a steely win over Everton on Sunday evening.
Following the embarrassing show against Manchester City, it seemed as though Erik ten Hag was going to be in for another long night on Merseyside. Alex Iwobi struck home superbly to give Frank Lampard's side the lead. But United responded well.
Anthony Martial fed through Antony who finished with aplomb to continue paying back his extortionate transfer fee. The man who set up the goal, though, was taken off shortly after through injury. He was replaced by non other than Cristiano Ronaldo who, in turn, scored United's second and winner.
With that said, here's the latest from United below:
Missing third goal
Marcus Rashford found the back of the net in the second half to seemingly hand United the win, but the goal was chalked off for handball. That being said, the goal still could have stood.
According to a bizarre loophole in the FA Laws of the Game, it is only an offence if a player “scores in the opponents goal directly from their arm or hand” or “scores immediately after the ball has touched the hand/arm, even if accidental”.
That means, had Rashford squared the ball to, say, Ronaldo, the goal would have stood.

Antony sets record
Arriving for a mammoth transfer fee, the expectations for Antony were, and are still, high. That being said, the Brazilian is doing all the right things to justify the £80m tag.
His goal against Everton, not only vital for United's win, was also his third in as many consecutive Premier League appearances. That's a club record at Manchester United.
And he has the chance to extend it against Newcastle next weekend. So far, so good for the 22-year-old.
Ronaldo exit nearing
It emerged last night that Ronaldo might finally get his United exit wish with Inter Miami willing to offer an exit route. The club, owned by David Beckham, are happy to pay the Portugal captain's lofty wages but only on the condition he arrives on a free transfer.
That story has now moved on with United's No.7 apparently open to the offer. It would make for a stark change in stance given the drive behind Ronaldo's wish to leave in the summer was to play in the Champions League.
But if Ronaldo wants to leave at all costs, jetting off to Florida could be a solution.
