Manchester United are looking to appoint a director of football from within the club - and have narrowed their hunt down to two names.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was handed a three-year contract by the Red Devils on Thursday to make him their manager on a permanent basis.
The Norwegian signed a deal £7.5million a year and admitted his immediate aim is to make United champions again and deliver a first league title since 2013.

The Times claim that the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is leading the hunt, and wants someone in place by the end of the season.
Solskjaer’s predecessor Jose Mourinho had earmarked Lille chief Luis Campos, who during his time at Monaco helped bring through the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Bernardo Silva.
But the club would rather look in-house, and head of football development John Murtagh and head of global scouting Marcel Bout are leading the race to land the top job.

Senior figure Murtagh, who oversees youth contracts, scouts and development, arrived under David Moyes - and is the only surviving off-field arrival from the Scot’s miserable reign.
Bout was brought in by Moyes’ successor Louis van Gaal, initially as an opposition scout before earning a promotion to his current role during Mourinho’s reign.
Solskjaer landed the job full-time after a remarkable run which has seen United take 32 points from 37 to get them back in the race for a top-four place.
