Man Utd name price for Jadon Sancho and 12 other stars ahead of summer clearout

Manchester United will demand around £45m for Jadon Sancho as part of a huge Old Trafford clearout this summer.

The Red Devils are keen to close the gap on rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. In order to do that, Erik ten Hag’s side needs major investment and the Dutchman has submitted a comprehensive list of targets to his recruitment team.

That includes a big-name striker, another midfielder and a goalkeeper amid David de Gea’s expected exit from the club later this week. Those three players are not expected to come cheap and a number of current Man Utd stars could potentially be sold to finance those moves.

Among those who could be sacrificed is former Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho. The England winger was signed in 2021 for a fee of £73m but he has failed to hit the heights expected of him at Old Trafford.

He has scored just 12 goals in 79 appearances since. According to Mail Online, the Red Devils would be ‘open’ to selling him this summer and have slapped a £45m asking price on him - a huge decrease on the original fee that took him to Old Trafford.

The same could also be said of a number of other stars including Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial. The pair were signed for £85m and £36m (£58m with potential add-ons) from Leicester and Monaco respectively, with their asking prices reportedly sitting at £40m and £25m.

United will be aiming to generate further funds from the sales of other stars. Donny van de Beek, Fred and Anthony Elanga are all up for sale this summer with the club hopeful of receiving around £20m each for the trio.

Elsewhere, a whole host of the club’s most recent academy graduates could bid farewell. United have slapped a £40m asking price on Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay and will listen to offers from him, whilst Dean Henderson is available at a price of £20m as he continues to be linked with a return to Nottingham Forest.

The sales are not anticipated to stop there. Hannibal Mejbri and Alex Telles have both been transfer listed by Ten Hag with demands of £13m and £10m put on them respectively.

Brandon Williams could also be set to bring in £5m, whilst Eric Bailly is available for around £2m following last season’s loan spell with French club Marseille. Whilst all of those players could soon bid farewell, it looks as though Zidan Iqbal will kick-off a summer of sales as he edges towards a bargain switch to Dutch side FC Utrecht.

Once an array of those deals get rubber-stamped then United could potentially kick off a summer of big spending. The Red Devils are expected to lodge their opening offer for Inter Milan star Andre Onana, whilst talks have been opened for Juventus star Adrien Rabiot.

A striker will not be cheap this summer with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane, Randal Kolo Muani and Ramsus Hojlund all expected to cost over £80m.
