Man Utd man is fastest in Premier League this season - as Leroy Sane only third

Manchester United's Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who is currently on loan at Fulham , has clocked the fastest speed recorded in the Premier League this season.

The Dutch international defender - who has appeared for the relegated Whites 11 times in the league following a similar temporary spell at Crystal Palace in 2017/18 - has moved at a speed of 21.95mph, which is 0.08mph quicker than Wolves wing-back Ruben Vinagre in second.

Manchester City's flying wide man Leroy Sane - who clocked last season's fastest time of 22.0462mph - has slowed up in the current campaign, recording the third fastest time of 'only' 21.86mph.

The rest of the top six are made up of Newcastle right-back DeAndre Yedlin (21.85mph), West Ham's Felipe Anderson (21.82mph) and Liverpool forward Divock Origi (21.77mph).

There is no place in the top six for the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Raheem Sterling.

Sane's speed last season was the fastest ever recorded in the Premier League since Opta analysts started measuring pace statistics 2013/14, narrowly beating the 22.0213mph set by Leicester's Jamie Vardy.
