Manchester United have tabled a last-ditch £30,000-per-week contract to try and keep teenage star Angel Gomes at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old midfielder is out of contract this summer and Chelsea lead a number of suitors competing for his signature.
In a bid to ensure Gomes does not leave the club on a free transfer, United have offered him a bumper new deal.
Their last offer of £25,000-per-week was turned down by Gomes' representatives, so the Red Devils have increased the basic salary to a lucrative £30,000-per-week contract.
Gomes would also receive bonuses for appearances, goals and trophies won, according to The Sun.

The deal is reportedly similar to that signed by fellow academy product Tahith Chong in March.
Gomes already earns £17,000-per-week despite making only two Premier League appearances this season.
The natural attacking midfielder, who can also be used as a striker or on either flank, joined United in 2006 at the age of six.
But he is understood to be frustrated by a lack of first-team minutes after spending most of the season with the U23 team in Premier League 2.
Gomes has made a further nine appearances for the first-team since making his debut in the Premier League in May 2017.
Coming off the bench for Wayne Rooney as a 16-year-old, he became the youngest player to play for United since Duncan Edwards in 1953.
He was also the first player born in the 2000s to play in the Premier League.
Gomes is also concerned about United's interest in Birmingham City wonderkid Jude Bellingham, who is linked with a sensational £30million transfer and plays a similar role.
However, the England U20 player would like to stay at Old Trafford due to his strong relationship with the club's staff.
As such, he could follow fellow academy products Chong, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams in agreeing a new deal this season.
