Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City eye transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax

Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech could be heading to the Premier League — with the Morocco star available for just £25million.

The 26-year-old is being watched by league leaders Manchester City — who see him as a potential replacement for contract-rebel midfielder Ilkay Gundogan — while Manchester United , Arsenal and Liverpool are also on his trail. German champions Bayern Munich are interested too.

Ziyech has enjoyed an outstanding season with Ajax, scoring 19 goals and making 20 assists as the sleeping Amsterdam giants have woken up by launching a Treble bid.

The Dutch club are top of the Eredivisie, through to their domestic cup final, and will meet Tottenham in the Champions League semi-finals having seen off holders Real Madrid and Juventus in the previous two rounds.

Ziyech is contracted to Ajax until 2021 after arriving from Dutch rivals FC Twente, but he can leave for £25million – a bargain price given his impact this season.

Germany international Gundogan admitted last month he is considering quitting City for a new challenge at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, set to be out of contract after the 2019-20 campaign, has yet to commit himself to a new deal, despite the Mancunian Blues' desire to keep him.

“There is no decision yet, otherwise I would have signed or rejected a contract,” he said.

“We're still in talks, but I don’t feel there is much pressure. Obviously, one day there has to be a decision, but I'm very happy here and playing under Pep.

“This is something everyone has to decide for themselves. I'm 28 years old, so my next contract will maybe decide where I will be for the end of my career.

"Everyone feels different. Maybe someone has an inner feeling in his self to go for a new challenge or to change something. I'm always open-minded for challenges."
