Man Utd, Liverpool and the clubs monitoring Christian Pulisic situation amid Chelsea tension

Christian Pulisic is unhappy and could push for a summer exit from Chelsea if Thomas Tuchel does not give him more opportunities in the coming weeks, according to reports.

Pulisic is yet to start a Premier League match under Tuchel since he took over from Frank Lampard on January 26 and the American midfielder is reportedly growing frustrated.

The 22-year-old has played just 216 minutes of football across eight games under the German, with his only significant game time coming in the 1-0 FA Cup win over Barnsley last month.

According to the Daily Mail, his situation has put Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich on alert over a potential transfer this summer.

Chelsea have been in fantastic form under Tuchel, winning eight and drawing three of his 11 games in charge so far.

Tuchel gave Pulisic his breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund before he made a £58million move to Chelsea in January 2019 and he was forced to address the situation after the 2-0 win over Everton on Monday night.

“I can say nothing else but good things about him,” Tuchel said.

“Maybe his biggest problem is that I know him from Dortmund and I think he started only in the cup games.”

Tuchel has frequently rotated his side during his successful short stint so far, with Antonio Rudiger, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech all on the bench alongside Pulisic on Monday.

Pulisic came on as a 90th-minute substitute against Everton and Tuchel admitted the former Dortmund man had been unfortunate with selection recently.

“It is my responsibility and it is a bit unfair but I know what impact he can have in the last 20 or 30 minutes,” the former Paris Saint-Germain boss said.

“He was a bit unlucky in the last few games. It isn't a lack of trust or quality, it is just that he will have to be patient.

“It is like this, we have a strong group. The guys have to keep on fighting. There's no other way.”

Pulisic appeared to be finding form under Lampard, but has returned just two goals and one assist in 25 appearances for the Blues so far this season.

He faces stiff competition for a place in Tuchel’s side, with Ziyech, Mount, Werner, Kai Havertz and Callum Hudson-Odoi all competing for a place in attacking midfield.

Chelsea will look to continue their unbeaten run under Tuchel when they take on Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday before taking on Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.
