Manchester United appear to be stepping up their hunt for a new striker after being linked to Robert Lewandowski and former Celtic star Moussa Dembele.
According to German magazine Kicker , the Red Devils have made an enquiry about experienced Polish ace Lewandowski as he continues to stall over a new deal at Bayern Munich.
But with competition from Paris Saint-Germain if he does become available, United have also lined up a £40m bid for Lyon man Dembele.
According to The Sun , Dembele, 22, represents a chance for Solskjaer to try and build a young and hungry squad and end the marquee signings who have flattered to deceive at Old Trafford in recent years.

The striker has netted 14 Ligue 1 goals this campaign since departing from Celtic, where he was a star performer under Brendan Rodgers.

The Bundesliga giants are keen to tie him up for another year but with his situation up in the air United and PSG are said to be monitoring his situation having enquired about his availablity.
