Man Utd legend Gary Neville makes cheeky Liverpool request for final day of Premier League season

Gary Neville has cheekily asked Sky Sports if he can cover Liverpool's home clash against Wolves instead of Manchester City's away game to Brighton on the final day of the season.

Following City's dramatic win over Leicester on Monday evening, the Premier League title race will reach its climax on Sunday.

Neville has made no secret of where he would prefer to see the trophy go, admitting he would rather see City win the title over Liverpool. And after watching the Blues move one point above Liverpool with one game remaining, Neville has doubled down on his feelings by providing a hilarious request on Sky Sports.

"It's unique this title race. I have never seen anything like it," Neville told Sky Sports.

Presenter Dave Jones then asked: "What if on Sunday, if we're at Brighton and we hear news..."

Neville chimed in: "Am I at Brighton? Can I be at Liverpool (to potentially watch the Reds lose the title race) now?"

City's one-point advantage in the title race came about due to Vincent Kompany's long-range strike at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night as the Blues edged out Leicester City 1-0.

Pep Guardiola's men know a win at Brighton on Sunday will secure them the Premier League. Liverpool, however, need Man City to draw or lose and to beat Wolves at Anfield as they aim to end a run of 29 years without a league title.
