Man Utd keeping close tabs on Lyon star Moussa Dembele ahead of summer transfer

Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

United are desperate to improve their striking options this summer and 22-year-old Dembele has been hugely impressive in France this season.

Former Celtic striker Dembele has scored 18 goals in all competitions and his work rate and prolific scoring record for the minutes played this season has caught the eye of scouts.

Arsenal are also keeping a close eye with manager Unai Emery a long term admirer and they made enquiries before he moved to Lyon last summer.

Emery is looking for a wide forward with Bournemouth ’s Ryan Fraser on his wish list but Dembele is another option with Danny Welbeck out of contract this summer.

Martin Keown makes Premier League top four prediction - and it's bad news for Man Utd

Arsenal’s budget will be somewhat limited but could go up if they make the Champions League but United will have big money to spend and will back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with improvements.

Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku’s future could be uncertain and United may be looking to improve their forward line this summer.

Lyon are aware of strong interest from the Premier League and know they will face a battle to keep their France international star.
