Anthony Martial is expected to recover in time to face Fulham on Saturday after limping out of the 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Martial pulled up after 63 minutes at Old Trafford after scoring his eighth goal of the season, but should return when Manchester United welcome Claudio Ranieri's men.
Jose Mourinho revealed the Frenchman was withdrawn as a precautionary measure, adding: “He doesn’t think it was an injury – it was feeling tight.”
Mourinho faces a defensive headache ahead of Fulham, though Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly shook off injury concerns to start against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The Manchester United manager still has doubts over Luke Shaw and Phil Jones, while Victor Lindelof is definitely out with a groin problem.
Antonio Valencia will also miss out with a knock.
United’s problems don’t end there, with Alexis Sanchez out until the New Year with a torn hamstring.
Mourinho is desperate for a win to ease the pressure on him as United’s season lurches towards another crisis.
He admits securing a position in the top four before the end of the year could now be beyond his side, but remains convinced they will secure qualification to the Champions League by the end of the season.
