Man Utd injury, suspension list: Team news for Premier League match vs Bournemouth

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Alexis Sanchez is "touch and go" for Sunday's meeting with Bournemouth.

But Solskjaer confirmed Sanchez, who has not played since his substitute appearance against Crystal Palace in November, will be "probably definitely involved" in the match at Newcastle three days later.

After the win over Huddersfield on Boxing Day, the interim boss said: "We'll improve as time goes on and I was just thinking, and I said to the staff as well towards the end, when you go 2-0 up, maybe 3-0 up, and you think 'next week we'll have (Alexis) Sanchez, (Anthony) Martial back, you've got (Romelu) Lukaku to put on'.

"Because I think maybe we could have really finished them off then."

Martial and Lukaku missed the win over Huddersfield due to illness and a private matter respectively, while Scott McTominay (knock) and Chris Smalling (foot) remain doubts.

United are eight points off the top four and host Bournemouth on December 30 as they bid to record a third straight win ahead of the turn of the year.
