Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez are all in contention to return for Manchester United against Bournemouth on Sunday.
All three are back in training and interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make a final decision after training over the next two days.
Martial missed out on the Boxing Day win against Huddersfield due to illness, while Lukaku has been on compassionate leave over Christmas.
Sanchez has recovered ahead of schedule from a torn hamstring, but the home game against Bournemouth may come too soon for the Chilean forward.
United are eight points off the top four and host Bournemouth on December 30 as they bid to record a third straight win ahead of the turn of the year.
Solskjaer also confirmed Chris Smalling will be out until at least the trip to Newcastle on January 2 due to a foot injury.
“We’ve not had a lot of training since Huddersfield so we had yesterday off,” said the Norwegian. “Rom, Anthony and Alexis were light yesterday so hopefully they can join part of the training today, let’s see how they come through.
“Smalling’s got a sore foot so I don’t think we’ll see him until the New Year, maybe not before Spurs.”
Solskjaer has enjoyed a perfect start to his reign with wins against Cardiff and Huddersfield.
Victory against Bournemouth will be the first time they’ve strung together three straight wins in the Premier League this season.
“Whenever you win games, everyone’s happy so let’s keep that run going,” said Solskjaer. “We’ve got to perform against Bournemouth. These two games have been fantastic, my first game and first game at Old Trafford.
“That’s new and we have to keep that momentum going. When you lose a game you won’t see many smiles about.
“There are things we need to improve. We are in this position for a reason. We’ve not been consistent, not been able to keep clean sheets, not scored enough goals.
“You always look to things to improve on. I’m coming from the outside, it’s hard to make a difference. My job has been to speak to the players, know their feelings, confidence levels. Every single one has a responsibility to improve.”
Scott McTominay and Marcos Rojo could also be in contention after injury lay-offs.
