Man Utd injury news and expected return dates as Bruno Fernandes emerges as doubt

Manchester United will go into the weekend with a couple of doubts over players - including Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils take on Tottenham, who have old manager Jose Mourinho at the helm.

United have had a mixed start to the season after a loss to Crystal Palace on the opening day.

They beat Brighton the following week but only by the skin of their teeth following a Fernandes penalty that was given after the full-time whistle.

And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be forced into some changes, though fans should be confident over any concerns.

Here’s your latest injury update from Manchester United’s squad…

Injury: Ankle/Foot

Expected return date: October 17

The 22-year-old has been out this season but is back doing some light work in training.

Regardless, it will still be some time before the young defender is back for the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes

Injury: Thigh

Expected return date: This weekend

Fernandes is a key part of Solskjaer's side and his absence would be hard on them ahead of the clash vs Tottenham.

However, he is expected to be fit for the clash.

Expected return date: This weekend

Maguire missed United's clash vs Brighton in the Carabao Cup but Solskjaer has allayed any fears over this weekend.

"Yeah, he's got a little knock but should be okay," he told MUTV.
