Man Utd identify two goalkeepers to replace David De Gea

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got a shortlist of two goalkeepers if he needs to replace David Ge Gea this summer.

Spanish international De Gea has emerged as Paris Saint-Germain’s number one choice after contract talks with United stalled over his £350,000 a week wage demands.

It is known that United have had a long-standing interest in Everton star Jordan Pickford , who initially caught the eye of Jose Mourinho last year helping England reach the World Cup semi-finals.

Pickford’s form for Everton has dipped this season but he is very much on Solskjaer’s radar, even though United may have to pay as much as £60million to tempt Everton into selling.

Atlético Madrid’s Slovianian international Jan Oblak is also on their wanted list but they may have to pay more than the world-record fee for a keeper to land him.

Chelsea splashed out £71million to Athletic Bilbao for Kepa Arrizabalaga last summer and Atlético rate Oblak at around £85million.

While they have looked at alternatives, Manchester United have made keeping De Gea as well as Paul Pogba their No 1 priorities this summer .

United have been forced to trigger a one-year extension in De Gea's contract to keep him at the club after negotiations over a new deal stalled.

De Gea wants in excess of £350,000-a-week to commit himself to a club that is paying Chilean flop Alexis Sanchez £500,000-a-week.

United are prepared to gamble on an agreement being reached before the summer of 2020, when the £100million-rated keeper can leave on a free.
