Man Utd handed huge double injury boost ahead of Barcelona clash in Champions League

Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their clash with Barcelona with Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez both training

United welcome the La Liga champions to Old Trafford in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.

Rashford missed United's defeat to Wolves last week with an ankle problem, having missed the international break in March.

He was back in training at Carrington on Tuesday although he did begin the session away from the rest of the squad.

Rashford did some light jogging and stretching with one of United’s
physios, before joining the main group and taking part in the full
squad warm up.

Man Utd man is fastest in Premier League this season - as Leroy Sane only third

There was also a surprising return for Sanchez, who has been missing since injuring his knee in the win over Southampton.

It was initially feared he would miss the rest of the season but he is now set to play some part in the run-in.

United midfielder Nemanja Matic did not take part in the session while Ander Herrera was also missing, as was defender Eric Bailly.

What Luis Suarez has told Barcelona about extending his current contract

Long-term injury absentee Antonio Valencia is still out for United but there was better news for Matteo Darmian, who did take part in the session.

Solskjaer called up youngsters Angel Gomes and James Garner to his first-team squad ahead of the visit of Ernesto Valverde's men.

The United boss is set to face the media on Tuesday afternoon as he provides an update on his squad ahead of the visit of Barca.

Valverde is likely to make a late call on French winger Ousmane Dembele, who has been out of action with a hamstring problem.
