Man Utd great Roy Keane gives verdict on VAR Dominic Calvert-Lewin Everton goal decision

Former Manchester United star Roy Keane has provided his verdict on the late VAR decision which overturned a potential winner for Everton.

The Reds picked up a valuable point at Goodison Park as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men came back from behind to draw 1-1.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Everton the lead in the third minute when he deflected a clearance from David de Gea into the back of the net.

Bruno Fernandes equalised before the break but Calvert-Lewin thought he had won the game for Everton in injury time.

However, Gylfi Sigurðsson was lying in an offside position on the floor and was ruled by VAR to have impacted the play following the deflection off Harry Maguire which sent the ball into the goal.

Asked if United would have felt hard done by losing to a goal like that, Keane said: "Yes of course.

"I think he was in-line with the ball and I don't think De Gea would have saved it.

"If it was allowed I think we would have had Ole on the pitch speaking to the referee.

"Sigurðsson should have gotten out of the way and I can see why Everton are disappointed but I do think they got the right decision."
