Man Utd goalkeeper Dean Henderson finally set to confirm loan exit

Dean Henderson is returning to Sheffield United after the Blades finally sealed a loan agreement with Manchester United.

The Blades have been working on re-signing Henderson all summer and United would not let him leave until they had tied David De Gea down to Old Trafford with a long-term deal.

De Gea has agreed to sign a new five-year agreement with United and this has given the green light for the England Under-21 international to return to Bramall Lane.

Blades boss Chris Wilder will be delighted to get Henderson back again on loan and the Cumbrian played in every one of their 46 Championship matches during their promotion-winning campaign last season.

Henderson, 22, was keen to continue his development by playing for the Blades in the Premier League and he has yet to make a senior appearance for United.

The academy graduate has had loan spells at Stockport, Grimsby and Shrewsbury previously.

The Blades are expected to confirm Henderson’s return today along with the £5million signing of Ben Osborn from Nottingham Forest.

United agreed a £5million deal with Forest earlier this week after having a £3million offer rejected for the midfielder.

Osborn has agreed personal terms with United and came through his medical on Wednesday.
