Anthony Martial's injury is not as bad as first feared and the striker could be available for Manchester United's clash with Liverpool this weekend.
The Red Devils travel to Anfield on Sunday and initially thought they may be without the forward.
Martial looked to have hurt his hamstring during their win over Burnley on Tuesday night.
He was moving freely after the contest though and will be assessed this morning after United's players were given Wednesday off, reports the Daily Mail.
The Frenchman started in attack alongside Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani at Turf Moor.
If he loses his fitness battle then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be short of options.
He can turn to the likes of Mason Greenwood, Dan James or Juan Mata should he need to.
Martial's first goal for United came against Liverpool back in 2015 and their clash this weekend takes on further significance given their league position.
The two clubs are first and second with the Red Devils pulling three points clear courtesy of their win at Burnley.
United haven't won at Anfield since 2016, but the Reds are in the midst of a blip.
Solskjaer is relishing the test and insists being top of the table now means little come the end of the season.
He said: "We're looking forward to it. Of course, we enjoy being where we are [at the top of the league] at any time, be that the first game or the last game, which is a big, big difference.
"We're looking forward to it, it's a great test of where we're at against a good team.
"We're almost halfway through the season so it's a little bit of an indication of where you're at, but no one will remember the league table on January 12."
The United boss has finally welcomed summer signing Amad Diallo to Manchester after he spent the last six months in Italy with Atalanta.
