Manchester United will begin their Premier League campaign against Chelsea at Old Trafford after the fixtures for the 2019-20 season were confirmed on Thursday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heads into the season as Man Utd's permanent manager, having enjoyed a blistering start in charge before an equally staggering decline to drop out of Champions League qualification contention and settle with a sixth-place finish.
Five defeats in their final nine games mean Solskjaer will be under pressure from the office, heading into the game after a transfer window which is expected to see a shift in strategy towards younger players.
Daniel James is already through the door and the pursuit of Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to bear fruit, while a bigger deal to bring Harry Maguire to Old Trafford is in the pipeline.
