Man Utd fans send Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Anthony Martial message ahead of FK Partizan clash

Manchester United fans have called for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to start striker Anthony Martial against FK Partizan on Thursday in the Europa League.

The Frenchman made his return from injury at the weekend, coming off the bench during the 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Martial had been sidelined with a muscle issue but is expected to travel with the squad to Serbia.

Solskjaer is set to hand minutes to plenty of Manchester United youngsters after James Garner, Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Brandon Williams were all missing from the U23 win against Swansea on Monday.

United can't afford for Martial to pick up another problem but Manchester United fans are desperate to see him the start the game.

MEN Sport asked fans whether the 23-year-old should be named in the starting XI after making his comeback against Liverpool.

72 per cent of the 1,899 respondents want the former Monaco man to be given the starting berth.

28 per cent believe that the Europa League clash is too soon for the forward.

Another injury blow to Martial would leave Marcus Rashford as the only senior forward at the club and Solskjaer has already confirmed the club are looking to bolster their options in the final third when the January transfer window opens.

United return to Premier League action against Norwich City on Sunday October 27.
