Man Utd fans react to Daniel James transfer rumour - and won't like who he supports

Daniel James could end up being the first part of Manchester United's summer rebuilding project after Sky Sports News reported that a £15million deal is close to being struck for the Swansea winger.

The Wales international - who scored the winner on his full international debut for Ryan Giggs' side against Slovakia in March - was close to joining Leeds in a £8.5million in January, only for the plug to be pulled.

And now the 21-year-old might find himself heading to Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer begins his overhaul of the squad that he inherited from Jose Mourinho in December last year.

It remains to be seen if there is anything in the transfer rumour, but for the meantime United fans have been discussing the deal online.

Plenty are pro, with some detecting the influence of Giggs in the possible deal.

But others are less keen, believing that United should be targeting a higher-profile player to get back into the Champions League.

While they probably won't be happy at the revelation from Sky Sports News presenter Jim White who, speaking on talkSPORT this week, said that James grew up as a Liverpool fan.

Either way, it promises to be a fascinating summer at Old Trafford.
