Man Utd fans react as Alexis Sanchez starts against Huddersfield

Manchester United travel to Huddersfield looking to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table, three points off fourth-placed Chelsea .

With just two games remaining of the current campaign, United know that they need to come away from the John Smith's Stadium with three points to keep their top four hopes alive.

Following Tottenham's surprise loss at Bournemouth yesterday, they will also be hoping for a slip up from Maurizio Sarri's team, who play Watford at the same time.

With a place in next season's Champions League on the line, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes from the team which drew against Chelsea a week ago.

Phil Jones replaces the injured Eric Bailly in the heart of defence while Scott McTominay comes in for Ander Herrera and Alexis Sanchez replaces Romelu Lukaku up front.

The inclusion of Sanchez in particular, who partners Marcus Rashford in attack, has come as a surprise to many with the Chilean starting for the first time since the beginning of March.

After struggling to impress since his arrival from Arsenal last season, Sanchez is seen as one of the players likely to depart Old Trafford this summer.

And many United fans were not too impressed to see him in the starting XI, with some tweeting their belief that the game against Huddersfield could be his last chance to make an impact.

One fan tweeted: "Disappointed that Gomes and Garner didn't even make the bench. Tahith Chong should have started. Unless Alexis Sanchez scores a hat trick his time at United is finished. Hope we don't give Mata a new contract either.

"Last chance for Alexis Sanchez. Need a favour to have any hope of a top four chance," a second continued while another added: "last chance to dance Alexis Sanchez."

A fourth concluded: "Is this the day that Alexis Sanchez looks like a footballer? Doubt it."
