Man Utd fans hail Jesse Lingard after completing unique crossbar challenge

Jesse Lingard might have struggled to regularly find the target for Man Utd this season, but that doesn't appear to be the case at home.

The England international has scored just twice this season, with his first coming in a 2-1 Europa League loss at Kazakhstan side Astana in November and the other in a 6-0 FA Cup mauling of Tranmere in January.

However, the 27-year-old has been impressing fans during the coronavirus lockdown with his ability to find the target with a number of trick shots.

The attacking midfielder has already submitted many attempts at the Stay At Home challenge, while he also managed to knock a ball into a rubbish bin from height and distance.

His latest effort, though, came during a drill every footballer enjoys doing with Lingard taking part in a crossbar challenge at home.

Lingard's attempt was certainly a memorable one as the Red Devils star performed several keepy-uppies first, before unleashing his shot.

The England international managed to hit is intended target with the ball cannoning back off the underside of the bar, before doing hitting the woodwork again as it bounced back up.

Lingard was certainly impressed by the unique attempt with the Utd midfielder heard saying: "Oh double crossbar, thank you very much."

Fans online also enjoyed the club too, with one commenting under the post on Lingard's Instagram page: "You are the man."

Another added: "You're so talented honestly."

Several, though, wondered why he was only able to do it outside of a game situation with one replying: "Shame you can't do that in a real match."

The footage is like to please Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Norwegian manager previously suggested he wanted his player's wives and girlfriends to help them practice their football skills with league games suspended.
