Man Utd fans furious with Paul Pogba as he hugs and jokes with Kurt Zouma in tunnel

Manchester United fans have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Paul Pogba.

Sometimes he's the best player on the park by a country mile and can single-handedly ensure the Red Devils will be taking all three points from a contest.

On other occasions he simple goes missing, and the World Cup winner has found himself on the wrong end of criticism from pundits from time to time.

Ahead of Manchester United's clash with Everton the Frenchman apparently wasted no time getting himself in the bad books with fans.

The match against the Toffees this weekend is huge for the Red Devils, who are battling hard to secure a top-four spot this season.

Anything short of victory could be the difference between them playing in the Champions League next season and the Europa League.

In the tunnel ahead of the Everton game Pogba could be seen laughing and joking with Kurt Zouma, which promoted a reaction from Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports.

"It amazes me when I see players talking and laughing together in the tunnel before a game, maybe it's a different generation," noted the Liverpool legend.

Manchester United fans on Twitter were a little less diplomatic, with one writing: "Wtf Pogba?! Hugging Zouma in the tunnel!? Game time!!!"

Another adding: "I hate the modern game," and a third concluded: "Pogba joking with Zouma throughout the hallway. Glad to see he's not captain today. Never deserved it in the first place. This game is as serious as it gets."
