Man Utd fans desperate for Bruno Fernandes transfer after Nations League performance

Manchester United fans have demanded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to immediately sign Bruno Fernandes after watching him star in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday.

The 24-year-old has impressed for Sporting Lisbon the past season, scoring 19 goals in 31 appearances and breaking into the Portugal national side in the process.

This has led to interest from the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool as well as United, who are believed to be leading the chase for the talented player.

Fernandes further enhanced his glowing reputation with a superb showing on Sunday night as Portugal won the inaugural Nations League with a 1-0 win over Holland.

And Red Devils fans were left excited about the prospect of him potentially arriving at Old Trafford as part of Solskjaer’s squad overhaul.

They immediately took to social media to rave about his performance in the final and feel he is the type of player United need to help them return to their heydays.

One said: “This Bruno Fernandes looks like great player, hope the rumours are true and United get him, he is kind of player United have missed for years!”

Another said: “Bruno Fernandes has looked like one of the best players on the pitch, if not the best. He is playing at 8. Promising signs for United if we sign him.”

Goncalo Guedes scored the only goal of the game as Portugal beat Holland to be crowned the first-ever Nations League champions.

The final in Porto was not a game for the ages as a match billed as a battle between the two captains, Cristiano Ronaldo and Virgil Van Dijk, was settled by Valencia forward Guedes on the hour mark.

The 1-0 win was enough for the reigning European champions to add the inaugural Nations League crown to their honours list with victory in front of their own fans.
