Manchester United are facing the prospect of being without three first-team stars for their clash with Newcastle on Sunday.
The Red Devils are back in domestic action following their 4-0 win over Real Sociedad in the Europa League midweek.
But in addition to two ongoing injury problems with Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek, United also have the fitness of Scott McTominay to worry about.
The Scottish midfielder was substituted after an hour during Thursday's match and now faces a battle to be in contention.
McTominay has been one of United's standout performers in recent weeks, scoring three goals in his last five appearances.
While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains hopeful of welcoming back his other two absentees, he admits both players could still miss out altogether.
"We think, or hope, both of them [Cavani and van de Beek will be fit] but we’re not sure.
"Maybe one, maybe two, maybe none. It’s one of those tight ones where you’ve got to make a call, probably after training on Saturday."
Should neither McTominay nor van de Beek return, United's midfield would pretty much pick itself, with Nemanja Matic and Fred the likely pairing behind Bruno Fernandes.
Paul Pogba is still ruled out until next month, while Solskjaer revealed Phil Jones is still not near to a return.
"Of course, Paul is out and Phil is out. I don’t know how Scott is. I don’t know how Donny and Edinson will be either," he said.
"They’ve got a chance, I think, so we’ve just got to give them until before training on Saturday as we need to pick a team on Saturday. We’ll see how they are and hopefully they can both be available."
United are looking to bounce back from their disappointing draw with West Brom last weekend to try and close the 10-point gap on league leaders Man City, who travel to Arsenal.

Asked whether United are still in the title race, Solskjaer replied: "Well, I don’t think anyone would say they are not going to go for it. We’re going to go for a win in every single game we play. Of course, we are.
"Whatever other teams do – City, Liverpool, Leicester, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham – we can’t control. We have just got to control ourselves.
"We are in a position we are, we are second, and of course the ambition then is not to end any lower than that.
"We are going to have to get a good run together if we’re to put pressure on City and it should start on Sunday, of course."
