Manchester United may have to pay a big sum to agent Mino Raiola to complete the signing of Erling Haaland .
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in Red Bull Salzburg striker Haaland after working with him at former club Molde.
Haaland is a man in demand with a host of clubs across Europe keen on bringing him in during the January transfer window.
Bundesliga sides Leipzig and Dortmund are hopeful of completing a deal but United remain intent on striking a deal with Salzburg.
But they may have to pay a fee to agent Raiola to sign Haaland when the transfer window opens.
The Sun reports United may have to pay £12m to Raiola, who is currently representing the 19-year-old striker.
It is suggested United would look to cut that fee considerably but Raiola is aware of Haaland's growing stature and the number of clubs who are keen on signing him.
Speaking after his side's EFL Cup quarter-final success over Colchester, Solskjaer confirmed his interest in Haaland.
‘He is a player I like,’ Solskjaer said.
‘We are looking for good players all the time. Erling has had a good development, so he has to develop further wherever he decides.
"I don’t need to talk so much about him, but we as a team always look for players who can complement the others we have, and then we see what we end up with.’
"It’s the most important thing with all the players, after all, wherever they go, that they thrive where you are."
