Manchester United plan on sealing a £20m move for Swansea defender Joe Rodon - on the advice of secret agent Ryan Giggs.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to beef up his defence this summer and will make room by shipping out Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo.
And that will pave the way for United to move for the highly-rated Wales international Rodon, who has won rave reviews once again this season.
Significantly Old Trafford legend Giggs, who handed Rodon his international debut, is a big fan and has recommended his old club sign the 22-year-old.
Wales boss Giggs also urged close friend Solskjaer to move for £15m winger Daniel James last summer.
The success of that tip off will see the Norwegian repeat the trick and move for Rodon with the Championship club willing to do business amid the coronavirus crisis.
Rodon has been watched by a host of Premier League clubs, with Manchester City among those also interested.
But United are in the box seat as Solskjaer looks to inject youth as part of this long-term thinking.
The arrival of Rodon would add to competition at the heart of the defence with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly also vying to partner £80m Harry Maguire.
