Man Utd dressing room reaction to Mauricio Pochettino rumours

Manchester United stars expect Mauricio Pochettino to be their next boss.

Paris Saint Germain boss Pochettino taking charge is already the talk of the dressing room at Old Trafford among all of the players.

They fully expect former Tottenham boss Pochettino to be the successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with PSG ready to bring in Zinedine Zidane to replace him.

But the United players are convinced that Pochettino will arrive in the managerial merry-go-round and he will take charge as soon as the club can realistically prise him away from PSG.

They have even been discussing Sir Alex Ferguson’s admiration for Pochettino for his managerial methods which helped transform Tottenham and take them to the Champions League final in 2019.

Pochettino’s attention to detail, attractive style of football and also a determination to bring through home grown players and academy graduates as well as building long term foundations at clubs.

Former Argentina World Cup star Pochettino was heavily linked with the job before he went to PSG but, like other managers before him, already finds himself under excruciating pressure and the spotlight.

Pochettino has led PSG 11 points clear in Ligue 1 but reports in France suggested they have been looking at potential replacements even before United’s renewed interest.

There is a growing belief that Pochettino will be ready to take the job and that PSG will be willing to let him go - just as long as they can get a replacement.

Zidane is a hero in France, enjoyed great success at Real Madrid and would be a popular choice at PSG if they can lure him out of his plan for a year long sabbatical.

Pochettino is keen on a return to English football, he even flirted with a return to Spurs last summer and Old Trafford would be too much of a temptation.
