It is just six weeks until the new Premier League season starts.
Leeds United will likely be involved in the first round of fixtures on September 12, with just those clubs still in August's European competitions set to be given a delayed start.
It means the pressure is on for the Whites to secure their transfer business quickly ahead of the start of the new season.
With that in mind, here is the latest gossip from across the Premier League.
Juve to beat United to Wolves star
Spanish outlet AS claim Juventus are nearing a deal for Raul Jimenez, with the Italian giants set to beat Manchester United to the signing of the Wolves star.
Yesterday it was reported in Portugal that the Mexican striker was on his way to Old Trafford due to Wolves’ failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Yet reports in Spain now claim that the 29-year-old is nearing a £72m move to Juventus.
Jimenez scored 27 goals in all competitions for Wolves this season, attracting the attentions of top clubs across Europe.
Upamecano pens new deal
Multiple Premier League clubs have been dealt a blow with the news that Dayot Upamecano has penned a new deal at RB Leipzig.
The centre-back’s contract at the Bundesliga club was set to expire next summer, which had prompted hopes among clubs that a cut-price transfer could have been done as Leipzig looked to avoid the 21-year-old leaving on a free.
Arsenal were the most strongly linked to the Frenchman, but any hopes the Gunners had of signing him this summer are seemingly over.
Upamecano’s new deal runs until 2023.
Rangers beat Premier League competition to signing
Rangers have beaten Premier League competition to sign Blackpool starlet Tony Weston.
The 16-year-old had been linked with Southampton, Everton and Leeds but has instead moved north of the border for a fee reported to be in the region of £250,000.
Southampton had previously come close to sealing a deal for the forward, who has already appeared for Blackpool in senior football.
